While the base game will be free for all players on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC from tomorrow, any expansion packs and additional DLC for the game will still need to be purchased separately. However, they’ll only have the rest of today to do so, as it’ll no longer be available once the free-to-play update kicks in tomorrow. In addition, those who are current owners of the life-sim title can bag themselves a freebie in the form of The Sims 4 Desert Luxe Kit. The latest iteration of the game, The Sims 4, was revealed to be going free-to-play last month, with the base game being put up for grabs to all users from tomorrow. Since the days of the original The Sims games, the series has evolved with the different console generations of the times, but one thing has remained the same and that’s the franchise’s popularity.
